文昌陶瓷玉石工艺品市场，位于文昌北路286号，离源胜工艺品市场不远，步行10多分钟即可到达，进入市场，看到的则是跟西关古玩城完全不同的景象，这里显得很平民化，非常的热闹，就象一个大集市，每一间档口都开着门，还有许多摆地摊的，这里以民间的杂件居多，从各种玉、古书画、手表到蚊帐钩、锁、发簪、手镯、香囊荷包、眼镜、钢笔及三寸金莲，真是无奇不有。经营古钱币的柜台在一层，二楼有旧书市场。
文昌陶瓷玉石工艺品市场是商铺与地摊兼顾的市场格局，市场可容纳四五百家地摊，来自全国10多个省、市、自治区和各种民族的地摊货主走马灯式地行走在广州“鬼市”和“午市”上。
每逢周二凌晨零时至上午9时，是文昌陶瓷玉石工艺品市场“天光墟”（俗称“鬼市”）开市时段。午夜正点刚过，地摊货主纷至沓来，扛着纸箱的，背着背篼的，拖着拖车的，迅速占据市场二楼及周边小巷预定的摊位，接着便是让报纸层层包裹的古玩、旧货露出真身；而有心淘宝的人也早以候市观望，打着电筒，仔细“拣漏”，希冀能“淘尽黄沙始见金”，懂行、有眼力的人总能发现古旧品中真正的古董。文昌陶瓷玉石工艺品市场，是广州古玩市场中最兴旺的其中一个，也是老外光顾最多的集市。来自美洲、欧洲、日本等地的淘古者，已成为集市的常客。 -
