Polyester: polyester is a category of polymers which contain the ester functional group in their main chain. The color of umbrella made by polyester is bright in usual. If you rub the umbrella with your hands, there are obviously creases and hard to restore. When we rub, we can feel resistance and hear a rustling.

Pongee: pongee is a soft thin woven cloth. It owes these properties: the color is dark; the hand feeling is similar with cotton; it can prevent light well. Though the prime cost of pongee is higher, but the SPF, quality and color are relative ideal as fabric of umbrellas.

Nylon: nylon is also a fancy fabric. It owes these properties: the color is beautiful; the hand feeling is similar with silk; less resistance. But there is a fatal weakness that it is influenced by air humidity. Sometimes, the umbrella cannot open. So it is not widely used.
